Forty-eight issues of John Bull and one issue of The Age, with a page to the rear describing the origins of the names of the months of the year in English and Welsh. Including volume v, numbers 46 and 47, volume vii, numbers 317-368, (excluding numbers 321, 325, 331, 342, 345, 347, 355, 357, 360 and 365) and volume viii, numbers 369-374 (excluding number 372) of John Bull. Also volume iv, number 139 of The Age. The issues date from November 13th 1825 to February 10th 1828. With many advertisements, articles and letters. With a decorative red ink stamp to the front page of every issue, stating the price four pence. With blank pages or stubs bound in where issues are missing, allowing for these issues to be tipped-in in future. Copperplate inscription of T. N. Parker, Sweeney Hall, to recto of final page. In a half roan binding with marbled paper covered boards. Externally, rather worn and rubbed with slight loss to leather of spine and cracking to joints. Internally, firmly bound. With some curling and small closed tears to pages. Generally bright with some marks and spots. Good Only. Seller Inventory # LTH20-A-8
