About the Author:

Robert Dallek has taught at Columbia, UCLA, and Oxford. He is currently a professor of history at Boston University. He is the author of several books, including his classic two-volume biography of Lyndon Johnson, Lone Star Rising and Flawed Giant. He has won the Bancroft Prize for American history, among numerous other awards for scholarship and teaching.

Shop Opening Hours: Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm; closed Sundays, Mondays, in January and occasional days in the year - please contact us if making a special trip. Set out over 2 floors in an ancillary building of the historic White Lion coaching inn, we have a large general stock of old, new and antiquarian books, with around 25,000 titles in stock. We specialise in books relating to the local area, both old and new, as well as children's books and history. We also sell (and accept) National Book Tokens and stock a small range of book-related gifts. Online orders are usually processed and dispatched within 2 working days. Orders received after midday on Friday will be dispatched the following Tuesday. Some of our books are available with a small postage discount if you would like to collect them from our retail shop rather than have them delivered to you.
