About this title

Synopsis:

The executive producer of "The Tonight Show" shares the story of his life, from a show business childhood through his rise in New York entertainment circles and Hollywood

From Library Journal:

De Cordova is the executive producer of The Tonight Show , and in this capacity provides an interesting view of how the show is put together each day. His behind-the-scenes view extends to some quick evaluations of regular guests and guest hosts. Not surprisingly, assessments of named individuals tend to be positive. He gives Carson's view of the Joan Rivers' "feud," but readers will learn little about either Johnny Carson or de Cordova himself. Like his discussion of the show, his quick run-through of his Broadway and movie years tends to be a collection of anecdotes. Amusing but hardly substantial.Barbara E. Kemp, Washington State Univ.
