This 1802 bible contains the birth and and some death records for 5 generations of the Golding family. It belonged to Joseph Golding (1770-1813) and his wife, Sarah Golding (1774-1841). The births and deaths of Joseph Golding's parents are recorded - Abraham Golding (1748-1810) and his wife Phebe (Thorne) Golding (1752-1812). Joseph and Sarah Golding's 5 children are recorded. They were born between 1796 and 1807 - Phebe Ann, Issac Thorn, Lewis, Abraham, and John G. Next generation - Abraham Golding married Arlene Augusta and had 3 children born between 1833 and 1844 - Lewis Arnold, Isaac Thorn, and Cornelia Thorn. Next generation - Isaac Thorn Golding married Marguerite Louisa Baquet and had one son born in 1865 - Louis Thorn Golding. Next generation - Louis Thorn Golding married Amy Scott Thomas and had 2 children born in 1902 and 1909 - Margaret Wilson Golding and John Harmon Golding. Note: Phebe - born in 1752, does not have her maiden name of Thorne mentioned in the bible. This information was taken from another source. The bible is in poor condition.
