About this title

Hardcover with dust jacket. Cookery/Gifts/Crafts, type book. Used. 1978 Edition by Ann Seranne. Printed in the USA. Designed by Sallie Baldwin, Antler & Baldwin, Inc. Illustrations by Lauren Jarrett. Total 213 pages. The pages are lightly age toned due age of book. Lots of black and white illustrations and drawings. Approximate size, 6.25 x 9.50. The dust jacket is faded, rubbed, and have a couple small tears, we consider the jacket to be in fair to good condition. The endpages are tan colored. The original price is on the inside front dust jacket flap. The boards are cloth red with green lettering on the spine. The pages are clean, no markings, no tears. The spine is tight and straight. David McKay Company, Inc., New York, Publishers. The book at the bottom shows drying and a revealing tear about one half to one inch on the page across from the title page and behind that tear one can see the actual threads that hold the spine together. We have been told this can be repaired easily. No pages are missing, the other pages are fine. Some super recipes. This book includes:"Ideas to spruce up the simplest of boxes, baskets, jars, and tins, including how to turn a cheese grater or jello mold into a unique hostess gift. Herb garden gifts and how to make them including instructions for drying herbs for sachets, potpourris, and spiced teas. Recipes for jellies, jams, marmalades, and preserves. Simple cookie projects to dazzle and delight the children on your Christmas list, including patterns for cookie stand ups, cookie mobiles, Santa's sled, a cookie creche, and gingerbread house. Dreamy sweets, perfect for children to help make and give: sugarplums, fudges, creams and caramel chews, taffy, peanut brittle, and lollipops." Lots of other greats tips and easy to make recipes.
