Octavo. 20(1)pp. Printed gray wraps with black ruling on cover. Dedicated to the members of the Society for the Advancment of the Science of Judaism. Lecture about the Jews in the German City of Worms. Claims that Jews emigrated to Worms right after the distruction of the Second Temple in Jerusalem are supported only by the Minhag Book (1625) of Loeb Kirchheim. In this book he describes in detail how the Jews were driven from Worms in 1615, including the distruction of the Jewish cemetery where headstones were destroyed that were 1,500 years old. Proven, however, is that there is a headstone at the cemetery that is dated 1071. The lecture describes the life and sorrows of the Jews in Worms. Text in German. Minor age wear. In very good condition. Bookseller Inventory #
