Unpaginated. Text in English. Profusely illustrated throughout with 23 charming color lithographed plates. Publisher's 1/4 cloth binding, paper covered boards, pictorial cover paste down embossed lettering. All printed pages and color illustration leaves are blank on reverse. Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Book is not new or in "new" condition but is nicer than typical. An inherently fragile paper covered boards binding, thus rarely found as well preserved in appearance as this example. The light edge scuffing and surface rubbing/ dustiness is less than typical, pretty nice really. Binding gently age worn, mostly light signs of handling and time but nothing offensive or severe, book remains overall attractive as an object. Nicer than typical for a paper covered juvenile book of this era. Text block paper is uniformly gently toned along the edges, otherwise still fresh, clean, sound internally. Still attractive on the shelf. The book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in overall nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws which may be present seem easy to overlook or forgive. Please review photos for more detail showing how this pleasing little early 20th century juvenile color plate book survives. The asking price reflects the condition based on our examination and 35+ years full time exposure to antiquarian books, maps and printed ephemera of all types and genres.
