Both volumes very good with pastedown-to-endpaper tear/split at rear hinge (sewn bindings, does not affect binding integrity). DJs both very good with sunning & soil to spines, small tiny tear at top edge. Slipcase whole intact but with soil, stains and one spot of white paint. 332 total pp. Bookseller Inventory # 11834

About the Author:

LORE SEGAL (1928–2005) wrote numerous books for young readers, including Tell Me a Mitzi and Why Mole Shouted, both published by Farrar Straus Giroux. She was born in Austria and lived in New York City.

MAURICE SENDAK (1928–2012) was one of the preeminent children's book illustrators and authors of the twentieth century. Best-known for the Caldecott Medal–winning Where the Wild Things Are, he was also the recipient of the Hans Christian Andersen Award for children's book illustration, the Laura Ingalls Wilder Medal, and the National Medal of Arts.
