4to. (25 cm.) unpaged [20p.]. Profusely (!) illustrated with black and white captioned photos. Stapled booklet in color pictorial wrappers with the Koshare emblem on the front wrapper. Slightly shelfworn and very lightly soiled, just a hint of rust on the staples, else very good to near fine with no internal markings. James F. "Buck" Burshears [1909-1987] founded the Koshare Indians in 1933 and was Scoutmaster of a Troop in La Junta, Colorado that built an authentic Indian Kiva and performed authentic Indian dances. "Over the years the Koshares were inspired and learned the Native ways from oepple like Ralph Hubbard, Carl Parlasca, Ernest Thompson Seton, Dan Beard, Julian Solomon, Ben Hunt and hundreds of Native American friends. [One of the most important aspects of the Koshare organization] has been the privilege to learn and perform for millions of people the beautiful songs, dances and crafts of the American Indian. [Stories about the Koshares have] appeared in.National Geographic, Time, Life, Boy's Life and newspapers around the world.
