Dustjacket has not been price-clipped and is most handsome in brand new mylar cover. Book provides insight into the lives of 92 Kansas City women who achieved noteriety for various accomplishments. Some are well known such as Jean Harlow and Sally Rand, both entertainers. Others were judges, business women who created empires with candy and ready-to-wear fashions. But perhaps the most colorful was Annie Chambers, the best known madam in the city. Bach bio is accompanied by black and white photograph. Book has 192 pages. sIGNED by author on half title page. Also, joining our staff are our beloved bookshop kitties -- Miss Lil and Mickey. The former provides gentility and elan, and the latter (who is basically a street thug) provides comic relief.
