A woman on the run faces a baffling mystery posed by her new lover - Anxious the police will blame her for a violent crime she became entangled in, Joan formulates a plan. The arrival of handsome gamekeeper Ken on the scene is a welcome surprise, but there's speculation in the village about the disappearance of his wife. Could she really have been killed? And if so, by whom?
