About this title

Synopsis:

This is a collection of stories, many humorous, depicting the adventurous life of Ken Jones: climber, guide ski racer, hunter, chef, and first warden of Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park. It all starts in the early 1930s when Ken apprenticed under the Swiss guides Christian Hasler and the Feuz brothers. Along the way meet Jimmy Simpson, Lizzie Rummel, Erling Strom, Sam Evans and many other characters of the Canadian Rockies. Read about the Skoki Years, which introduces you to Brian Greenwood, and Ray Legace who was famous for his pork and beans.

About the Author:

Kim Tetarenko is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, skiing, climbing and many other outdoor activities. She chose to make a career change from mechanical engineering to writing, guiding and photography. Her current writing project is a series of adventure fiction books for 8-12 year olds.
