About this title

Synopsis:

Committed to continued excellence in establishing in-depth and comprehensive safety and security awareness and protection education for the public; They're Killing Our Children is without a doubt, a bold and engaging look at mass killers in America, how they're abhorrently slaughtering our children, and the "conversations" parents must have with their children in order to educate and keep safe our nation's most valuable resource. At its best, They're Killing Our Children demands both conversation and action; re-engaging the discussion on gun control legislation in America, repairing flaws in our nation's mental health care system and many other critical issues affecting children today. Our most basic obligation is to support the healthy development of our nation's children. We are not powerless, and this is not our new normal. No one man can save a nation, and doing nothing has severe consequences for our children's future. If we don't act now to protect our children today, tomorrow may be too late.

About the Author:

Born and educated in Chicago, Illinois, Roland joined the United States Air Force Security Police Career Field in April of 1985. He has written and edited numerous Security Police training manuals that have become tools for success in the United States Air Force and the Security Police career field. His training and experience in physical security, law enforcement and anti-terrorism is both diverse and expansive. Shortly after retirement in May of 2005, Roland became a licensed Independent Anti-terrorism and Workplace Protection Consultant in Chicago, IL. In April 2010, Roland published Protect America: Not Afraid and Fighting Back, the first in the "Protect America" series. In a continued effort to aid in the fight against terrorism and crime and violence in America, comes another ambitious and hands-on novel "They're Killing Our Children" Today, as a seasoned professional with over two decades of distinguished experience, he's seen the changes overtime, and believes, our most basic obligation is to support the healthy development of our children. Because the threats against children are real, the time to do something is also real. While we must find ways at preventing mass shootings and reducing gun violence, we must also address the access to quality mental health care both to help prevent violent acts and to assist victims of trauma. As our nation works forward to prevent violence of any kind, it must be reminded that schools and after school activities are very safe places for children. Terrorism has been perpetrated on those least able to fend for themselves - young children; as well as the young killers. Education, information and proactive people are the master keys to successful intervention and prevention. Doing nothing has severe consequences for the future of our children.
