1869. No Edition Stated. 501 pages. Quarter bound red leather with red cloth covered boards. Book has been rebound. Contains black & white illustrations by W S Gilbert. Red speckled text block edges. Noticeable cracking to gutters, binding remains firm. Pages are lightly tanned with noticeable foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Red marks to half title page. Faint black marks to pages on occasion. Text remains legible. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Visible sunning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Leather peeling to spine and edges with visible markings. White paint marks to bottom of front board with noticeable scuffing.
