About this title

Synopsis:

The economic wisdom of the scriptures is critical in engaging the complex issues of families and New Zealand society in the global world. Ten principles of economics - love, productivity, creativity, cooperation, work and rest, simplicity, redistribution, management, ownership, freedom and celebration - are a basis for Economic Discipleship. These are applied to critical issues for Kiwis. How do we live in a debt-laden economy? What are principles of land rights and ownership? What are the ethics of government asset sales? How do the scriptural principles apply to the current TPPA trade agreement issues? A must read for anyone engaged in seeking justice! A must read for New Zealand Christian leaders!

About the Author:

Dr Viv Grigg is a serial social entrepreneur, whose Kiwi ingenuity and pioneering of theological breakthroughs has enabled the launching of multiple movements, and justice-making organizations in the global slums. His pioneer work in Manila slums is told in Companion to the Poor, followed by processes in global slum in Cry of the Urban Poor. He has catalyzed several global apostolic movements, and established the MA in Transformational Urban Leadership in eight seminaries and universities globally, training workers among the poor in social entrepreneurship, community organizing, advocacy and theology. His contribution to Kiwi societal change have included The Spirit of Christ and Postmodern City, Creating and Auckland Business Theology and Kiwinomics: Conversations with New Zealand Economic Soul.
