About this Item

"First edition in the United States of America." Manilla library pocket glued to FFE, and a bar code tag glued to copyright page. Top and bottom pages also bear library rubber stampings, though those are blessedly faint. Outer edges of DJ flaps are noticeably thin where they were laboriously freed from being glued to insides of boards. Roughness of pastedowns in vertical strips reveals where this gluing once held sway. DJ not price clipped; original $12.95 price showing. DJ spine orange title lettering considerably sun-faded. Spine has a noticeable 3/16ths-inch lean. All that said, this copy is in better-than-usual condition for a library survivor; still tightly bound with virtually no wear to boards and with the white text block unmarked. Author's first "Rebus" novel, his second opus only to "The Flood," Polygon, 1986. Also listing a slightly smaller copy which was chopped and laminated. This one is full original size, with a nice dust jacket now protected in mylar. 182. pp. Reduced from $60. Bookseller Inventory # 001360
