Only hints of wear to extremities, cloth clean, gilt bright, all illustrations present and in fine condition, else fine. Dust jacket spine very slightly faded, else near fine and not price-clipped. L.J. Rose was one of a galaxy of builders of early southern California. His monument of success was the 2,000-acre Sunny Slope ranch, a show place of vast orchards, vineyards, fine wines, and champion trotting horses on the present day site of Pasadena, California.
