About this Item

This Cottingham was considered the leading "Mediaevalist" architect of his day -- he obviously was very fond of this, and he executed some really beautiful buildings while he was at it. Some of his finest work is seen in the Derbyshire elegance, Snelston Hall, and Magdalen College Chapel, Oxford. He was also prominent in restoration work on Gothic buildings, notably the cathedrals at Hereford and Rochester. Take a gander at this man's work. An outstanding gift. Bookseller Inventory # 002129
