The book contains a memoir by Carl Zigrosser, art critic; a biographical and critical discussion of Lasansky's aesthetic development by Alan Fern, chief of the prints and photographs division of the Library of Congress; and a detailed essay on the prints by Stephen Rhodes, a former student of Lasansky and currently director of the Blanden Art Gallery, Fort Dodge, Iowa.
