About this Item

THE LAST MAGICIAN & THE HUMAN TERMITES were the first two volumes of an intended five or more volumes to be published as a subscriber series, offered for $20 for the five. But unfortunately the publisher folded after the first two titles. THE LAST MAGICIAN contained nine stories: The Little Husbands — July, 1928; The Dogs of Salem — Sept., 1928; The Damsel & Her Cat — April, 1929; The Last Magician — May, 1932; Valley of Bones — January, 1938; Lords of the Ice — Dec., 1939; The Goddess of Zion — Jan., 1941; Death of the Kraken — March, 1942 and Bindings Deluxe — Jan. 1943. each printed facisimile from the pages of WEIRD TALES, including illustrations. THE HUMAN TERMITES was a controversial novel here facsimile reproduced including illustrations as serialized in AMAZING STORIES in 1929. In addition is a lengthy autobiography by Keller with his commentary/philosophy of writing and working method. Both booklets were published in editions of 1,000 each. Very good in stiff paper covers. Price is for the two. Bookseller Inventory # 921

Store Description

Who am I and Why buy from me? How many times have you ordered a book on eBay only to return it because it wasn't a first edition or in the condition stated? I'm Terence McVicker. I began collecting Fantasy & Science fiction in 1970 and opened my own brick & mortar shoppe in 1976 under the name, The Book Symposium, in Anaheim, California. I closed the shoppe long ago and since have been selling under my own name and on eBay under the moniker of epagana. I mentored for fifteen years under the noted bookman Roy A. Squires, specializing in Fantasy & Science Fiction and in my more than forty years of collecting & selling I have dealt with virtually every major bookseller in the field from Gerry de la Ree to Lloyd Currey. . . and I have learned much! I have sold to and appraised collections for the John Hay Library, Brown University's H.P. Lovecraft Collection and the Bancroft Library, University of Southern California, Berkeley's Clark Ashton Smith Collection and numerous individual clients. I worked with Ray Bradbury & Gary Gianni on Ray's last book - The Nefertiti-Tut Express which I designed and published in 2012 as The RAS PRESS. I have a forty year plus, reputation in the field for integrity, expertise and professionalism that I take great pride in: In other words, everything I sell I know to be authentic and I stake my reputation upon it. And everything sold is guaranteed to be delivered to you in the condition stated or your money back. If your shipment is damaged, then I haven't done my job! It's not the fault of the post office. And I guarantee this worldwide! Let eBay sellers better that! I look forward to having you as my client! - Terence McVicker
