Publisher: Thomas Ward FIRST EDITION
THE LATTER-DAY SAINTS MILLENNIAL STAR VOLUME 5 & 6, Thomas Ward, 1844 & 1845, first edition, Volumes 5 & 6 respectively, beginning June, 1844 and ending with December, 1845 complete with issues published twice monthly beginning in July, 1845, occasional light, faint stains to sections of the upper and fore edge margins of some leaves never entering anywhere near the text, else a fine copy with very good contents rebound in 20th century half cloth and marbled boards with spine label and new end-papers. Also present is the 16 page August, 1844 supplement, which is an eye witness report of the murder of Joseph Smith by a mob in Carthage, Illinois. The first two leaves connote this to be an ex-library copy, however, there are no other indications of such. Tipped -in at the rear is the spine of the original binding. A scarce item.
