About this Item

Most likely author Shirley's best book and certainly the best book on the Western District of Arkansas Court at Fort Smith with jurisdiction over the Indian Territory during the time in which there was rampant lawlessness and no appeal to a higher court from decisions made by Isaac "Hanging Judge Parker. Unusual condition. The book is tightly bound and without markings save the handwritten name of a previous owner and '59 date on the top of the front free endpaper. The DJ is price clipped but shows only slight edgewear. It has been protected by a mylar cover that has begun to show a little rubbing of its own. Bookseller Inventory # 001986
