About this Item

Nobel Prize winning author's classic story of the death of Addie Bundren, as told in first person narrative by other members of the family. Nice clean copy, tightly bound, no hinge problems, without names or other markings, two lower corners lightly bumped. First published 1930 statement on the copyright page indicating a first edition and it is the second impression with the letter "I" on p. 11 correctly aligned. The dust jacket is a new facsimile of the original jacket, an exact duplicate (color, price, wording, etc.) except for an added statement on the lower front flap "Facsimile Dust Jacket L.L.C." A less expensive alternative for the Faulkner collector to the first printing with original jacket that sells for hundreds, even thousands, more and doesn't look as nice on the shelf.
