Contemporary mottled calf, flat spines gilt in compartments. Random gatherings very lightly browned, extremities of bindings scuffed (most tips worm through, one corner gnawed), but a good, tight copy. First edition, (edited by Alexander Gallitzin, according to Wellcome). A posthumously published work found among Helvetius's papers after his death in 1771.
