Daniel Baker, a Presbyterian minister, who first came to Texas in 1840. He returned to the U.S. and then came back to Texas in 1848 as pastor of theFirst Presbyterian Church in Galveston. He organized the formation of Austin College in Huntsville in 1849 & became its president in 1853 until 1857, dying shortly thereafter. Seller Inventory # 027914
