There is also a review included of the book that has a price of $2.75. I'm not sure if this is a pre-release or book club edition. Condition:(all defects if any are formulated into pricing) The jacket has some chipping along the top edge. There is a minor chip to the lower back. There is a tipped in slip signed by the author (see 2nd photo) 'To: Edward B. Taylor with kindest regards - John P. Marquand.' The book also has the name Edward Taylor with an address on the front endpaper. There are also many newspaper clippings in the back of the book with articles about the author. Book is without any other marks or writings, pages are clean, book is tight and sturdy. A good copy. It is the story of some good Americans who didn't want to face the probability of total war in the twenty months before Pearl Harbor.
