Hardbound in dust jacket. First American edition of Hofmann's autobiography. Spectacular presentation copy inscribed to fellow psychedelics researcher, Oscar Janiger: "To my dear friend / Oskar Ganiger [sic] / recollecting the / beautiful time / in his house / cordially / Albert Hofmann." Psychiatrist Oscar Janiger was among the earliest researchers to explore both the therapeutic use of hallucinogenic drugs as well as their influence on creativity and the artistic process. He was co-founder and Chairman of the Albert Hofmann Foundation for Psychedelic Research. Small indentation to front board, else fine in very good, slightly worn dust jacket with a couple of small chips and short tears. A superb association to a fellow author and important early researcher who started his groundbreaking LSD experiments in 1954 anticipating Leary and Kesey by many years. Bookseller Inventory #
