A very good copy in green cloth with black lettering and front panel design with fading to the spine and the covers lightly rubbed throughout. The page edge shows some light foxing. The dustwrapper is a perfect facsimile of the 1936 original. The book begins with a classic Wodehouse line: "Into the face of the young man who sat on the terrace of the Hôtel Magnifique at Cannes there had crept a look of furtive shame, the shifty, hangdog look which announces that an Englishman is about to talk French.".
