About the Author: A.J. Ensor is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Arts (TV Production) and Political Science, and has an Associate Degree from Ocean County College in Business and Undergraduate Law. A.J. is a certified paralegal.
He made his first professional broadcast segment in 1991, and now has nearly fourteen years of experience in broadcast news, documentary and television commercial production. A.J. produced a local documentary in Illinois on a group of farmers who preserve 19th century farming technology. The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, LA, reviewed the broadcast, and A.J. Ensor was awarded an Emmy for his production of "The Threshermen." A.J. has been nominated for 17 major awards and has won six national and international awards for broadcast excellence including a "Golden Philo," from the International Television Association (ITVA). In 1997 the Illinois Broadcasters Association awarded A.J. "Photographer of the Year."
A.J.'s professional career began long before graduation and included four years and many broadcast hours of video news and documentary production for PBS, Illinois. Since graduation his work experience includes three years as a freelancer in New York City, two years with CBS News, and two more with AT&T Media Services, where Andrew worked as a commercial producer, director and writer. Before beginning his book project, A.J. finished a short tenure with Fox-TV, Richmond, VA, where he currently resides.
