About this title

The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in the heart of Europe, has experienced a remarkable ascent to an international financial centre during the past years. Its growth in importance and affluence is also increasingly reflected in high-quality architecture. It is time to pay tribute to the architecture of Luxembourg in a beautiful, bibliophile volume - also in order to obtain for it the international attention that it deserves. The first monograph on current architecture in Luxembourg contains projects by well-known architects such as Christian de Portzamparc, Christoph Ingenhoven, and I.M. Pei.

About the Author:

Ulf Meyer, studied architecture at TU Berlin and Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Freelance author and journalist for architecture and urban planning in Berlin. Since 2008 Professor of Architecture and Environmental Urban Planning at Kansas State University.
Alain Linster, studied architecture in Innsbruck and at the summer acad¬emy in Salzburg under Hans Hollein. Worked under Josef Paul Kleihues. Ateliers Flammang, Linster in Esch-sur-Alzette and Münster. Since 2000 partner in m3 architectes, together with Jos Dell and Marie Lucas.
