Quarter bound in calfskin leather over card covered boards, five raised bands to spine, (heavily worn all round, cracked and chipped away at edges, corner leather eroded and spine leather dry and cracked at joints and spine tips, softened and scuffed at corners). Internally, previous owner's name on front endpaper, in copperplate hand (reads Ann Skevington, No. 12, Yeaverly), pages toned, some with small chips and creases at edges, some spotting, some fold outs have been mis-folded upon return, a few strained gutters. Old water stain affecting title page and frontispiece. Generally clean and binding holding firm. Volume XXXII of the Lady's Magazine, comprising all 12 monthly issues published in 1802. Each issue contains a selection of articles regarding history and world events, customs and opinions, political reflections, foreign news, home news, serialised novels and tales, letters and correspondence and poetical essays. Each issue contains at least one song with music and lyrics, a number of them attributing Handel as the composer. Other articles which feature in this bound volume include 'Essay on Novelty'; Character of the Late Empress of Russia'; The Monks and Robbers'; 'London Fashions'; 'Account of a Journey from Sweden to Finland'; 'On Avarice'; 'On Domestic Education'; 'Account of the Knisteneaux Indians'; 'The History of a Kiss'; Character and Manners of the Walachians'; etc. Does not have the fashion plates present in some editions. Free economy shipping in the UK, regardless of the number of books ordered or the value of the order.

Overseas shipping costs are dependent on the weight of the books orders. You may therefore see different shipping costs for different books quoted alongside the price of the book. Books to be sent to Hawaii and Alaska will incur an additional charge above that quoted for delivery to the USA (this is because couriers charge more for delivery to these states).

Our books are dispatched regularly three times a week. Please inquire if you require expediated or 'best endeavours' shipping.

We use bespoke book boxes for most books; very small, awkwardly-shaped, multi-volume sets etc may have different packaging solutions to best protect them in transit. Our book boxes are made from recycled material and are fully recyclable. We are commited to minimising the environment impact of our book business and hope that you can support us in this endeavour.
