Two volumes, small folio, specially bound in full red crushed morocco, ruled in git, raised spine hubs. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. 1-201 and 211- 420 pp. with blank sheets ar rear for notes. Photographic title page and with area maps integral. Fine. Possibly uniquely bound offcial copies of the New York City's Landmarks Commission, Parks, Recreation and Cultiral Affairs Administration's final report on the creation of the Greenwich Village historic district. Formally presented on April 29, 1969. Preliminary section summaraizes the history of the neighborhood, boundaries, architectural importance, artistic and cultural history. The bulk of the report consists of detailed descriptions of buildings and streets in each of the 9 sub-areas created. This set of two volumes was obviously specially bound for presentation to an important official or other personage.
