Small folio bound in three quarter crushed morocco, ruled in gilt, raised hubs and spine lettered and ruled in gilt. Marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt. 231 pp. Report of the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affiars Administration of the New York City Landmarks Commission regarding the creation of the "cast-iron" historic distraic of the city's Soho neighborhood. Consists of introductory section that includes history of the area from the colonial period through the 20th century era of decay and eventual reebirth, stylistic history of the architectural features, a review of cast iron as a building material. The main portion of the report consists of block by block descriptions and detailed information on the buildings. Interior is clean and unmarked; binding has wear along the outer hinges and with the spine strip lightly faded.
