About this Item

This beautifully designed and illustrated book documents the conception, design and building of the new exhibition building of the Moesgaard Museum. Designed by Hennng Larsen Architects, it grows up hill-like from the field and its 13,000 meter expanse of roof has been sown with grasses and other local plants. A walk up the roof provides a breathtaking view over the Bay of Aarhus, in a landscape of hills, valleys and deciduous forests that has attracted people for 5,000 years. This vibrant history has, in more than one respect, been incorporated into the new museum. Gorgeous color photographs, architectural plans and elevations, and generous exposition of the museum?s history, philosophy, concept, design, and construction by the world-eknowned architect Henning Larsen posthumously. Plans and elevations are included., English, Year2014, Illust. B/W21, Illust. Color57, ISBN 9788793251021, Code 7008. Hardbound, In Pristine Condition, Index. Pages 96, Size 9 1/2?x12?.
