David Capes is the Thomas Nelson Research Professor at Houston Baptist University. He is a noted Pauline scholar, and he served as the senior Bible scholar for The Voice Bible translation. Lauren Winner is at work on her doctorate in the history of American religion and author of three books which include Girl Meets God and Real Sex.

Greg Garrett is the author of the critically-acclaimed novels Free Bird and Cycling, the memoir Crossing Myself, and non-fiction books including The Gospel Reloaded (with Chris Seay), and The Gospel According to Hollywood. He is professor of English at Baylor University and writer in residence at the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest.
