Referred to as a cross between Raymond Chandler and Hunter Thompson, his novels are a rare treat and not to be missed. Book is in VG condition. Slight lean to spine, no bumps to corners and no dog ears or tears. General soiling to text block with several, faint liquid stain spots to the bottom of the text block. The stains also come through to the bottoms of the pastedowns and a bit to the leading and ending pages of the text block. A 3" long squiggly pencil line and a small stain to the bottom of the rear board. A couple of small ink lines to the front FEP and one to the bottom of the front pastedown. First Edition, First Printing with full number line and First Edition statement. DJ is mylar-covered and in VG minus condition. Wrinkling and light chipping to head and heel of spine. Four creases to the rear flap. Two run the vertical length and two are shorter, diagonal ones that run from the top to the foredge. Two liquid stains, within a few inches from the spine, to the bottom of the rear cover, a smaller one to the base of the spine and a smaller one to the bottom of the from cover, a 1/2" from the spine. A 1/3" wide by 1/4" high wedge of material missing from the bottom center of the rear cover. A 1/3" long closed tear to the bottom of the rear fold. The $8.95 issue price is present.
