From Library Journal:
In-Laws/Outlaws is a sensible, practical guide to interpersonal relationships, especially within marriage and the extended family. Family counselor Bilofsky sets ground rules, addressed chiefly to women, for surviving the crises that can put families at risk. Although the early chapters on engagements and weddings have a flavor of 1951 rather than 1991, the book improves as it continues through life-cycle events. Chapters on money, serious illness, three-generation households, divorce, and eldercare are very timely and well done.
