About the Author:

LeRoy Neiman is one of America's most prolific and most popular living American painters and printmakers. He is known primarily for his depiction of sports, music, high society and public spectacles, as well as his portraits. His work is in the permanent collections of numerous museums and other public institutions, including the Hermitage in Leningrad, the Baltimore Museum of Fine Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, Art Institute of Chicago, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and the Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Tennis Halls of Fame. His work has been exhibited in solo exhibitions around the world, and it has appeared on the covers of numerous magazines. Richard Brilliant is the Anna S. Garbedian Professor in the Humanities and Professor of Art History and Archaeology at Columbia University in New York.
