They find gold and then adversity befalls them. At the age of sixteen, the young woman is raped by two wandering men, and her life is forever changed. Her caring companion tries to save her from self-destruction, but the quality of their love is severely tested as they struggle to find happiness. William Wayne "Bill" Dicksion was born in Wewoka, OK, the descendant of pioneers of the early American West. He grew up steeped in the lore of their adventures. Writing is his way of sharing the stories he remembers and loves. Bill has traveled extensively and is educated in science and literature. He and his wife live in Hawaii.
