Spine sunned. Minor discoloration to front and back cover. Frontispiece in Vol. one. With the bookplate of Bruce Bryan,the noted author and long time curator of the Southwest Museum of The American Indians in Pasadena, California. Minor creasing and discoloration to dj. Spine of dj sunned. Vol. two has one fold out map. "Ludwig Leichhardt is chiefly known as the most important of the scientific explores of Australia. His lively but detailed letters provide a narrative of his life from his student years (Germany, England, Paris and Naples) in the mid 1830's until 1848 when he disappeared in the Australian interior".
