Ex library copy from the collection of the Royal Engineers, bound by them in brown morocco and dark green threequarter binding with thier gilt crest to front boards. Raised bands to spines with green title labels with gilt lettering. White handwritten library markings. Spines are very scuffed and worn and Vol I is split at the top. All edges are also scuffed. Green endpapers. Foxing to first and last few pages, and on all of the engravings, otherwise bright and clean. Slight rippling. Stamp of the Royal Engineers on the frontispiece of each volume. Volume II has a further stamp. A very good set, marred slightly by the fairly discreet library markings. Seller Inventory # 4080
