"The Liberated Guardian was born on Apr. 20, 1970 as the strike organ of workers at the Guardian 'independent radical newsweekly' who . seized the Guardian's New York City headquarters" - from " Editorial Statement". ["The 'Liberated Guardian' broke off fromthe quasi- Maoist journal 'The Guardian' in New York City on the grounds that the latter functioned in the same way as any 'bourgeois' periodical, with specialized editors, typists, copy readers, business staff, etc. The ' Liberated Guardian' was run by a 'collective' in which, assertedly, every person performed every task without specialization" - Murray Rothbard ' Economic Thought Before Adam Smith', page 344].
