Thick 8vo.,454pp. Sharp Stated Sixth Edition, bound in 1/4 orange cloth over brown paper-covered boards. with tile in gilt on front board and in brown on spine. Dozens of b& w illustrations including tissue-guarded mounted frontispiece of the artist. Square, tight and clean throughout with minimal edge-wear. Front hinge cracked but firm. Small bookseller tag on front end-paper. Very attractive and scarce, unclipped, though unpriced, printed dust jacket has some small chips from the crown and a closed tear along the top rear hinge. Spine panel mildly toned. Still solid and complete with no crease or tears . A handsome collectable copy.
