Some early owners' notes on the frontpaper and on the top of the title page. The period, leather covers are very worn. The front cover is detached and the back cover is shaky. The spine is worn and is chipped at the upper end, and has a complete but split spine label. Pagination: One blank frontpaper, Portrait of John Whitgift, T.P., (blank), 5 pages Prefaces, 124 pages main text, 10 pages Table; "Conspiracy for Pretended Reformation." by Richard Cofin - T.P., (blank), 14 pages Prefaces, 182 pages main text, 2 pages publisher's advertising.
