Octavo, 8 3/4" tall, volume 1: vi + 198 pages ; volume 2: 307 + xxvi pages + two engraved plates present. A good copy overall with chipping to the leather at ends of the back strip and at corners including an inch and a half chip along the rear of upper backstrip; front hinge cracked and front matter partially detached; binding still solid with all signatures secure, paper only slightly yellowed with light scattered foxing; BUT the back two hundred pages are dampstained (does not affected the readibility of the text).
