Antiquarian pencil doodle on copyright page; faint 1864 ownership inscription in pencil on rear pastedown; a few other pencil marks are present on interior leaves. Text collates as complete. THE LIFE OF THOMAS JEFFERSON was published in Ithaca, New York by Mack & Andrus in 1834 with additional Ithaca imprints published in 1839 and 1843. Mobile's J.S. Kellogg and Co. published this 1834 edition as well as a second edition in 1835. OCLC cites numerous copies of the three Ithaca imprints but the two Mobile editions are exceptionally unusual for OCLC only records three copies of each among member libraries. Unfortunately a poor copy which should be re-cased but still a rare Alabama imprint. Seller Inventory # D17-1797
