Five raised bands with gilt tooling in decorative design. Two of six spine panels deep red with gilt titling. Fine frontispiece and portrait each volume. Many localities and scenes from Cowper’s life. Volume 1 Cowper frontis. Some fade to boards and/or textblock on some volumes. Otherwise, color of marbling and leather quite well preserved, gilt bright. Rubbing to corners, some showing through. Rubbing to edges, heel, head most spines. Bindings all very sound.
