Blue decorative cloth binding with the titling and an image of his airplane, the "Spirit of St Louis" in gilt. Clean text; 318 pages. The decorative endpapers also bear the image of his plane. The Foreward is by Myron T. Herrick, the American ambassador to France. Illustrated with numerous black-and-white photographs. Contemporary (1928) gift inscription on the second free endpaper. The dustjacket is Very Good; complete, with a faded spine; wear around the margins with some creasing and minor chipping. In an archival plastic protector. Later Printing. Hard Cover. Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
