From the Author:

About one-third of teenagers seem to do pretty well, one-third have some problems and the remaining third have quite a few problems. This book is specifically for the parent of teenagers with problems. The book follows a tough-love philosophy and offers concrete and usable suggestions which directly help teens with the problems they are having. Over the last 20 plus years I've worked with hundreds and hundreds of families and teenagers with problems. The heart and soul of my philosophy is that parents need to be strict, firm, set limits and stick to their limits. There is one boss in the family and that's a parent. When the kids are out-of-control and are questioning and challenging the parents' control breaking rules and defying parents, the parents need to regain control. My "tough-love" philosophy tells parents specifically in detail how to do this. After reading the book, you will be immediately able to put the recommendations and suggestions into practice with your family. When teenagers don't obey the rules and don't accept the fact that the parent is the "boss" life is often impossible for the parents and often impossible for the teenagers.
It also creates more and more problems as the teens seem to quickly get more and more out-of-control. This is a companion book to How to Live With Your Teenager, Vol. I. How to Live with Your Teenager, Vol. I is a basic parenting handbook that gives all parents the basic skills. How to Live With Your Teenager, Vol. II, A Question and Answer Guide is specifically for parents with problem teenagers and will help you regain control in your family. This book offers specific and detailed answers to questions parents have in areas of communication, peer pressure, teenage music, discipline and punishment, rebellion, school and school problems, drugs and alcohol, unacceptable behavior, sibling rivalry,
job activities, and sports. There are a total of 29 major topic areas covered with specific answers to 363 questions parents often ask.
