About this Item

Oblong 4to., pp. [20]; drab paper wrappers stamped in blind; printed paper label affixed to front wrapper; very good. Edition unknown. Music and, presumably, lyrics in Braille for "Londonderry Air" better known as "Danny Boy" -- one of the most popular tunes of the 20th century. Louis Braille, developer of literary Braille, also created music notation in Braille for visually impaired persons. Until 2007, the world's largest collection of music in Braille had been located at the National Library for the Blind in Stockport, England. That library is now merged with the Royal National Institute for the Blind Library in Peterborough, the largest library in the UK for readers with sight loss. Scarce. Bookseller Inventory # 4759
